At The Mountains of Madness Film Project

With winter bringing rather cold weather and ice in copious amounts, i have taken this opportunity to try and make my own film version of 'At The Mountains of Madness' by Lovecraft. A large fountain at the bottom of my road freezes over and forms a large mound of ice very much like a glacier, and coats the surrounding area in a sheet of white ice, thus providing me with a good set for Antarctic theme. My film project will take place in the modern age with the Miskatonic University finally leading a second expedition (the expedition planned in the story thwarted by Dyer's letters and his and Danforth's lock in an insane asylum) to determine 1) the true fate of the original team, 2) to study global warming and strange weather patterns in the area, and 3) cover as many fields of science in the investigation/expedition as possible. the third goal is a result of difficulty to raise the necessary funds due to the events of the Dyer and Danforths's return, and as such, the University saves money by hiring a Private Detective who specializes in the occult and doubles as a paranormal investigator, thus receiving more funds for that field of growing science as well as getting a grant to find the lost team and discern the events that led to Danforth's (and since he was considered mad when he went public) and Dyer's insanity. The film will be shot in a Mocumentary Style, and will be sweet as hell if i can get enough cast members. Currently, i am working on a number of props for the film.
